Role summary

As a global market maker, Optiver trades hundreds of thousands of financial instruments on exchanges around the world. By continuously providing quotes – both bids to buy and offers to sell – we play a vital role in the healthy functioning of markets.

We are looking for a Senior VDI Platform Engineer to improve our global, large-scale virtual desktop platform supporting users across multiple regions. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of a session-based desktop environment used in latency-sensitive workflows.

The role places strong emphasis on automation, operational repeatability, and data-driven troubleshooting. You will work on improving how the platform is operated over time, using scripting, metrics, and evidence-based analysis to resolve performance issues, reduce operational complexity, and eliminate recurring incidents.
